In addition, the EVVC wants to lobby political, social and economic bodies and influence decisions and opinion-forming in the interests of its members and the industry.

In addition to support in the areas of marketing, jurisprudence, technology and the development of current industry key figures, the association places great emphasis on training and further education within the industry. On the one hand, this applies to the extensive range of seminars offered by the association. On the other hand, however, the EVVC works intensively with providers of a wide variety of training offers, including a. to work sustainably on the various professions and thus actively promote the next generation.

With its representation in the capital city office, the association represents its members in federal politics and does lobbying work. In addition, the association supports its members in their argumentation in municipal committees with meaningful key figures and studies of the event industry.

Structures

Due to the heterogeneity and the associated, often very different interests of the member companies, these are divided into different working groups (AGs). The decisive factor is the maximum capacity in row seating in the largest rentable room: AG I up to a maximum of 1,200 seats, AG II up to a maximum of 4,000 seats and AG III over 4,000 seats. The AG IV (technology) also brings together all event technicians of the members and deals exclusively with technology-related topics. The size of the individual houses represented by the technicians does not matter.

In departments, the members discuss current topics with very different focuses, such as B. gastronomy, marketing, special event location and much more

The board works on a voluntary basis and is elected for three years by the general assembly. In addition to the President and Vice President, the assessors for the areas of finance, marketing and international affairs as well as the four heads of the working groups belong to the Presidium.

The organizational center of the association is the office in Frankfurt am Main with six employees.

All members and partners have the opportunity for detailed discussions twice a year - at the annual general meeting in spring and at the management conference in autumn.

Both events take place in changing member houses; the annual general meeting follows the international trade fair for event technology “ Prolight + Sound ” every second year at Messe Frankfurt .
