The FBI Counterterrorism Division ( CTD ; dt. , Department counter-terrorism '), the Department of the Federal Police Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States of America , with terrorist cells in charge within the United States. It also provides information on terrorism outside the country and tracks known terrorists around the world. Since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 , the CTD has received steadily growing funding and employees.

Its headquarters are in Washington, DC
