FBS-TH ( F all B earbeitungs- S ystem TH üringen) is a Case Management System of the Thuringian police and the state criminal police Thuringia .

Installation

FBS-TH was developed in 2012 by the company OPTIMAL SYSTEMS Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH from Jena. It was developed extra for the Thuringian police and the state police Thuringia to the existing ISTPOL ( I nformation S of ystem T hüringer POL izei) in the course to expand a renewal of central components.

Costs and criticism

The development costs for FBS-TH amount to 1.5 million euros . Further investments will be made to further develop the system.

During the test phase in 2013, two laptops from the developer company were stolen. Sensitive data relating to an unexplained death of a child from Jena was suspected on the computer. According to the Thuringia State Office of Criminal Investigation, minutes of the FBS-TH meetings and individual documents were found on the laptops, but no investigation documents or other data on the above-mentioned homicide.
