The FBW 50U is a bus model developed in the 1970s by the Swiss vehicle manufacturer Franz Brozincevic & Cie., Wetzikon (FBW). The two-axle buses were used as touring coaches or in regular service.

Travel car

All bus companies used to rely on combination buses, which outwardly corresponded to a regular service bus, but were mainly used for companies. Today there are still historic vehicles that used to belong to the Zurich Lake and Oberland transport companies (VZO) and Auto AG Uri .

Public bus

Auto AG Schwyz (AAGS) was one of the buyers of this series . This bus service also transports parcels on behalf of the Post. Therefore, the vehicles held by the AAGS have a gate at the rear that makes loading and unloading easier. Almost all Postbuses were designed in this way at that time . In the late 1990s they were replaced by high-floor Mercedes-Benz O 405 buses and later by low-floor Mercedes-Benz O 405 N buses .
