history
In the spring of 1972 a women's football department was formed at the amateur club Olympique Hénin ; In 1981 this set up its own business under the name FCF Hénin-Beaumont. Nevertheless, the FCF names May 1972 as its founding date. In the 1978/79 season, Olympiques women prevailed for the first time in the regional points round and reached the France-wide final, which was still held in the knockout system at the time , in which they later won the national championship AS Étrœungt failed. Four years later, FCF Hénin-Beaumont reached the final, but only became runner-up behind VGA Saint-Maur after a penalty shoot-out - just like the women again in 1988. After the introduction of a national women's league in 1992, the team belonged to this Division 1 Féminine until 1996 and again from 2003 to 2012. However, the northern French women did not achieve a better placement than fourth place (1993 and 2009). Returned to the top division for the 2013/14 season, he was promptly relegated again twelve months later. And after the second division was slimmed down from 36 to 24 participants, the FCF has only played third-rate since the 2016/17 season.
The club is known for its good youth work; The A and B youth teams have been playing in the top French league in their respective age group for years.
In the national cup competition that had only been held since 2001 , the FCF Hénin-Beaumont had not yet made it past the quarter-finals; most recently he retired in 2013 as a second division against Olympique Lyon . In the 2016/17 season, however, the northern French even reached the semi-finals, in which they were again subject to Olympique Lyon.
