The Halberg transmitter is a broadcasting system of the Saarländischer Rundfunk on the Halberg in Saarbrücken , right next to the broadcasting studios of the broadcasting corporation. The guyed tubular mast was erected in 1960 with a height of 40 meters. Later, the mast was increased by another 40 meters to improve reception, resulting in the current height of 80 meters.
