Antenne Saar (own spelling: AntenneSaar ) is a radio program of the Saarländischer Rundfunk (SR) that started on December 12, 2005 . It is an information program with a special German-French character and emerged from the previous SR Info program .

program

The program is largely made up of acquisitions of other programs. During the day, the SWR -Infowelle SWR Aktuell program is taken over over long distances , alternating with current French-language programs from Radio France Internationale (RFI), which thus make up the Franco-German claim. In addition, there are individual programs of the SR program SR 2 Kulturradio . The program is also used as a transmission channel for parliamentary debates from the Bundestag , Bundesrat and Landtag . In the event of special events, the sound of the Phoenix television station is used . The Italian-language program Mezz'Ora Italiana produced by the SR , which was previously housed by the youth channel Unser Ding due to a lack of a broadcasting platform , will now be broadcast on Antenne Saar at the weekend.

reception

The program can be received nationwide via digital audio broadcasting in block 9A (DAB + mode). There is also a live stream on the Internet. On the medium wave frequency 1179 kHz, Antenne Saar with 10 kW could be heard from the Heusweiler location until December 31, 2015. During the night, medium wave transmission was initially not possible, as the Swedish major transmitter Sölvesborg , which had meanwhile been switched off , would have made reception impossible on medium wave due to the special nocturnal propagation conditions on the same frequency. Since November 2nd, 2009, Antenne Saar has been broadcasting around the clock.
