The Mettlach transmitter is a broadcasting system of the Saarland Broadcasting Corporation for the transmission of radio signals. It is located southwest of the center of Mettlach. A free-standing steel lattice tower is used as the antenna carrier.
The transmitter mainly supplies the area around the Saarschleife .

Digital radio (DAB / DAB +)
The digital radio ( DAB + ) is broadcast in vertical polarization and in single-frequency mode with other transmitters. Until January 7, 2012, DAB channel 8B was broadcast along with private radio programs. Since the switch to DAB channel 9A, only SR radio programs are currently broadcast.
