The KC Schrezheim e. V. is a bowling club from a district ( Schrezheim ) of Ellwangen . The KC Schrezheim is one of the most successful bowling clubs of the Württembergischer Kegler- und Bowling-Verband e. V. The club is known for its first women's team, it plays in the top division, the Kegel Bundesliga (Classic) , and for the numerous international successes of some players and the coach.
history
In the beginning ten young men came regularly every Sunday to go bowling on the bowling alley in Schrezheim. It was the fun of the thing and the active leisure activities that allowed the young people to grow closer together in a good comradeship. The desire to be able to take part in the official bowling was ultimately the reason to found an association and to join the bowling association (KV) Aalen.
In 1961 the ten-man bowling club “One is always standing” was founded on the Kucher bowling alley in Schleifhäusle. Anton Blank also took over the position of board member. In 1967 the first general assembly of the then very successful club took place. During this meeting the name was also renamed "Kegelclub Schrezheim".
In 1982 the Klosterfeldbahnen moved to the newly built bowling facility in the Ellwang indoor swimming pool. In 1984 there was another relocation to the newly built bowling alley in Schwabsberg. It fully met the needs of sport bowlers, was technically up to date and the atmosphere there fully met expectations.
In 2000, together with the KC Schwabsberg, an independent bowling association, the KV Jagst, was founded. In 2013 the KC Schrezheim and the KC Schwabsberg parted ways, each of them founded their own bowling club.
Teams
There are three women's teams, four men's teams and one mixed, senior and senior women's team.
Bowling club at the monastery
In 2004 the club started to build a bowling alley. In the Ellwang district of Schleifhäusle, the bowling alley was built next to the former Josefstal order house of the Comboni Missionaries order.
