FC Hyères

The Hyères Football Club or HFC for short is a French football club from Hyères , a town in the Var department on the Côte d'Azur .

The HFC was founded in 1912. The club colors are yellow and blue; the league team plays in the Stade Perruc , which nowadays still has space for around 2,000 spectators. President is Gérard Daziano, coach is Patrick Bruzzichessi . (As of August 2009)

League affiliation

The Hyères FC is one of the legendary 20 founding clubs of the French professional league, played first class only in the 1932/33 season ( Division 1 , renamed Ligue 1 since 2002 ); at the end of this first season he was relegated to ninth place under group A. A year later (1934) the club gave up its professional status due to a lack of support in the city, was still a third division team between 1980 and 1988 , after which it was found in the amateur camp. It was not until the 2009/10 season that Hyères was promoted back to the third division, which he had to leave again a year later. In 2013/14 he played in the fourth class CFA .
