The FC Kolmar was an Alsatian football club . During the time of the German occupation in World War II , the team temporarily played in the first-class Gauliga .

history

Founded in 1924 under the name Colmar FC , the club took over the German-language name FC Kolmar in 1940. As a result, the club was assigned to the Gauliga Alsace . As fourth in the Oberelsaß group , the club qualified at the end of the 1940/41 season for the Gauliga, which will henceforth be played in one season. Until 1944, the team placed in the back of the table of the regional championship. In the 1944/45 season, the clubs took out of the city, which was particularly fiercely contested during the liberation - this affected both FC Kolmar and local rivals SpVgg. Kolmar - no longer participates in gaming operations.

In 1945 the club returned to the old name Colmar FC . However, the team did not get beyond the amateur area in the Division d'Honneur Alsace . In 1977 the club was renamed Stade de Colmar 77 , before the game was closed in the summer of 1986.
