The Futebol Clube de Sonaco , FC Sonaco for short , is a football club from the Guinea -issau city ​​of Sonaco .

history

The association was first founded in 1977. On August 23, 2009, the new establishment took place, which was registered on November 28, 2011 with the Federação de Futebol da Guiné-Bissau Association .

The club started in the third division in 2012 ( Campeonato Nacional da 3ª Divisao ), and in 2017 it was promoted to the first division, the Campeonato Nacional da Guiné-Bissau .

Since the end of 2017, the association has been holding talks with the traditional Portuguese club Belenenses Lisbon to become a branch association.
