FK REO Vilnius was a Lithuanian football club from Vilnius .
history
The club was founded in 2005 and started in the fourth Lithuanian league. There they became champions in 2008 and rose to the II Lyga, the third division. In 2010 they were promoted to the second division, the 1 Lyga , where they were sensationally champion in the premiere season and thus rose again, this time to the first-class A Lyga . In addition, with 54 collected points, they even set a league record for the 1 Lyga . With a coaching team consisting of former players from local rivals Žalgiris Vilnius , the desired leap into the first division with a newly founded club was achieved in just 6 years. In 2012, the club withdrew from match operations for financial reasons after the 24th match day. All remaining games were rated 0: 3.
