The FO'SH (short for Plugoth Sadeh) was an elite Jewish attack force , founded as the command arm of the Hagana in 1937, during the Arab uprising from 1936 to 1939 in the British Palestine mandate . The members were personally selected by Yitzhak Sadeh .

In March 1938 the FO'SH had 1,500 trained soldiers , divided into 13 regional groups. They were armed with stolen SMLEs , grenades, rifles and other small arms.

Together with the Special Night Squads under Orde Charles Wingate, they attacked Arab villages. The FO'SH's great strength, its mobility, was very useful in these attacks.

The FO'SH was dissolved in 1939 and converted into the larger HI'SH . During World War II , the FO'SH veterans were trained and deployed by the British Army for night operations.
