FOS Open Scouting

FOS Open Scouting is a Flemish-Belgian scout association based in Ghent . It is interdenominational and active in Flanders and Brussels . According to the association, more than 8,250 scouts and scouts are active in over 50 groups.

The association was created in 1966 from the split between Boy-Scouts et Girl-Guides de Belgique / Boy-Scouts en Girl-Guides van België . In 1992 the Flemish groups of the Sea Scouts Of Belgium joined him. The siblings' association in Wallonia are the Scouts et Guides Pluralistes de Belgique .

FOS Open Scouting is also an indirect member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and the World Organization of the Scout Movement through its membership in the Belgian umbrella organization Guidisme et Scoutisme en Belgique / Gidsen- en Scouts Moving in België .
