The FNM 421-428 were a group of tank locomotives of Ferrovie Nord Milano (FNM), which were designed for freight trains.
The total of eight machines were built by Breda in 1924-25 . In 1940 they were classified in group 220 and given the numbers 220-01-08.
The machines were soon sold because of the progressive electrification of the network: five of them came to the Società Ferrovia Biella – Novara (SFBN), which classified them as 421–425. Three more came to industrial and works railways.
The SFBN locomotives came to the Ferrovie dello Stato in 1961 with the nationalization of the company , which placed them in Group 842. Because they were already retired, they were soon retired and scrapped.
