The E.421 locomotive of Ferrovie dello Stato was an experimental locomotive powered by accumulators that was designed in 1921 by the Milanese electrical manufacturer TIBB . The boxes were built by Carminati & Toselli , the accumulators by the Società Generale Italiana Accumulatori in Melzo .

The locomotive was used in the shunting operation at what was then the Milano Centrale station, but was decommissioned in 1923 due to the problems that had occurred. According to some sources, it was sold or scrapped around 1935.
