The cargo ships of the FV 1500 series are RoRo ships of the Danish Frederikshavn Værft .

history

The ship type was a further development of the smaller FV 610 . The series was manufactured in nine units from 1982 to 1984 for Mercandia Rederierna Per Henriksen in Copenhagen. The shipyard later developed the type into the even larger FV 2100 . A relatively large number of units of the 1500 type were later converted, some into combined passenger and car ferries and three of the ships into cable layers .
