FWB 300
Feinwerkbau 300 (FWB 300) refers to a series of match air rifles that were manufactured by Feinwerkbau Westinger & Altenburger in Oberndorf am Neckar . All versions of the rifles were delivered in the caliber 4.5 mm, with a rear sight and with a side cocking.
technology
The FWB is a single loader . Before each shot, a two-part spring is tensioned with the side tensioner. After inserting the bullet, the loading flap is locked using the side tensioner. When the trigger is pulled, the tensioned spring drives a piston in the firing direction. The piston compresses the air in front of it behind the bullet and drives the bullet through the rifled barrel .
The rifle shoots almost without recoil . The system runs back after the shot and absorbs the recoil. By moving in the direction of the shooter, a sufficient distance to the rear sight is required. If the distance is too short, there is a risk of injuring the aiming eye.
variants
From the 300S version onwards, a height-adjustable "cheek piece" was provided. The shaft was made of walnut wood and has a mounting rail to which additional weights can be attached, for example. The rifle was available in versions for right-handed or left-handed shooters. The following variants are known:
- Feinwerkbau 300
- Feinwerkbau 300S, Universal
- Feinwerkbau 300S, Match
- Feinwerkbau 300S, Junior
