Specialist for personnel consulting and recruitment (IHK)

Specialist for personnel consulting and recruitment (IHK) is the further training designation for a certified personnel consultant who has successfully completed at least 116 hours of training with a subsequent IHK examination. Such a qualification is not required by law for commercial recruitment activities. The associations, especially the FOPI, recommend this training as one of the building blocks for quality assurance.

The training focus

The seminars on personnel placement specialists, carried out by various subcontractors of the offering IHKs , are aimed at people who work or want to work as personnel consultants / recruiters - in personnel consulting companies and temporary employment agencies, but also at employees in the field of personnel development who have to acquire or assess in-house personnel .

The training is divided into different modules:

Verification

The training ends with a written IHK examination in labor law and the submission of a case study, which is to be prepared by the participants themselves, as well as a presentation on the individual modules and proof of regular participation (at least 80% attendance).

quality control

According to a decision of the German Bundestag on March 15, 2002 (Bundestag printed papers 14/8529 and 14/8214), quality standards for private personnel and job placement were developed under the moderation of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labor with the participation of the professional associations. These standards came into effect on December 13, 2003.

Every association that represents the interests of private recruitment agencies, but also private employment agencies themselves, can adopt these standards in a binding manner. The quality assurance campaign of the Federal Association of Personnel Placement, beginning in June 2002, was thus successfully completed.
