The specialist for personal and property protection is an SERI (State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation) recognized training occupation in Switzerland.

A federal certificate can be obtained after two years of professional experience and a theoretical and practical examination. Experts for personal and property protection are private individuals and can only act within the framework of everyone's rights, they have no sovereign rights.
