Technical college entrance qualification

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The technical college entrance qualification is a school-leaving qualification specific to the choice of profession , which is generally acquired by attending a so-called vocational school (e.g. vocational school for economics "business school" or vocational school for housekeeping "housekeeping school" or vocational school for health and care) and generally has a higher status than has the so-called general intermediate maturity .

The Fachschulreife is distinguished from the general middle school-leaving certificate in particular by the fact that the graduates of the Fachschulreife not only have the general curriculum knowledge of the (regular) Realschulen (middle school leaving certificate), but usually also a pronounced commercial, domestic, nursing or technical knowledge Have received prior training that gives both the apprentice and the training company an advantage, e.g. B. As part of this training, a shortened training course or even more independent work for the apprentice in the training company is possible.

According to the school regulations for two-year technical schools, only those who make the transition from the first year to the second year receive the technical college entrance qualification. It should be noted that the technical schools with entry requirements are to be classified in qualification level 6 of the German qualification framework . Vocational schools without entry requirements only have level 2 to 4 of the DQR.
