Bell pants

The Klingelhose is a registered trademark of Stero Medical Devices Prof. Dr. H. Stegat GmbH & Co. KG. Under this name, the company sells products that are intended to prevent bed wetting . A bell trousers consists of a in the lower or diaper pants incorporated or inserted moisture - sensor , which upon contact with water (urine) through an acoustic signal generator and partly also by a vibration alarm to wake the sleeper.

Used over a longer period of time, the wearer of the trousers should learn to recognize the signs of urination so that they can go to the toilet in good time. Bell pants and similar signal transmitters (for example bell mats placed under sleepers) should be effective in 70 percent of the applications. A study from the UK found that this instrumental conditioning gave 25% of patients improvement in two to six weeks, 50% in three and 90% in six months.
