Facundo Pellistri Rebollo (born December 20, 2001 in Montevideo ), also known as Facu Pellistri , is a Uruguayan football player who is under contract with the first division club Peñarol Montevideo .

Career

Facundo Pellistri, born in Montevideo , began his football training at La Picada FC and joined the youth department of Peñarol Montevideo via River Plate Montevideo at the age of eleven . At the Manyas , he was considered one of the team's most promising talents and was promoted to the first team during the 2019 season. He made his league debut on August 11, 2019 (4th matchday) in a 2-2 draw against Defensor Sporting , when he came on for Ezequiel Busquets in the 90th minute of the game . In 2019 Clausura he established himself as a regular player under head coach Diego López at the age of 17 and aroused the interest of large clubs. On November 6, 2019 (matchday 10), he scored his first goal in a 3-1 away win against CA Cerro . He was also on the field in the two finals for the championship against rival Nacional Montevideo , both of which were lost. In total, he played 20 league games in the 2019 game year.
