Thread path
The Fadensteig is located on the north side of the Schneeberg in southern Lower Austria . For experienced hikers with climbing experience, the ascent via the Fadensteig is a worthwhile route to the summit.
The starting point of the Fadensteig is the Edelweißhütte on the Fadensattel at 1235 m above sea level. A. In its most demanding section, the path crosses the thread walls ; here short passages are secured with a wire rope. A total of around 800 meters in altitude must be overcome to get to the Fischerhütte .
The Fadensteig is climbed both in summer and in winter, although the degree of difficulty is higher due to icing and snow fields in winter.
