FAGE ( Greek ΦΑΓΕ [ ˈfaʝɛ ] dt. 'Iss!') Is a Luxembourg dairy that is internationally known for its Greek yogurt .

history

The dairy was founded in the Patissia district of Athens in 1926 and began specializing in yogurt in 1954. With the opening of the new facilities in Metamorfosi, Total Yogurt was introduced in 1974 and has also been exported since 1981. This is now available in all European countries. Since 1993 FAGE has been selling milk and cheese again, but only on the Greek market.

After total yogurt sales in the USA exceeded 2,000 tons annually, a second dairy was opened in Johnstown, New York in 2008 and designed for a production of 12,000 tons. The production has meanwhile been increased to 45,000 tons.

At the end of 2012, Fage moved its headquarters from Athens to Luxembourg .
