Hülptingsen is a village and district of Burgdorf in the Hanover region in Lower Saxony . It is located to the east bordering the core town of Burgdorf.

history

Although the year the town was founded cannot be determined exactly, it is currently assumed that it was founded around 700 years ago, perhaps even earlier. A first mention in the registers of the Hildesheim Cathedral Provost from 1277 to 1286 can be proven.

“Capellen were at Depenau, Otze, Ramlingen, Hetelingen and Dachtmissen. Also here belongs the built in 1249 to h. Nicolaus consecrated church to Schornsteines-, now Obershagen. Ahrbeck, Beinhorn, Colshorn, Dachtmissen, Heeßel, Hülptingsen, Otze, Ramlingen, Röddensen, Schillerslage, Sorgensen and Weferlingsen, along with several mills and individual houses, are still parished to Burgdorf. This expansion of the parish, which is still so large and in the past even greater, seems to justify the assumption that an archdeaconate formerly rested on Burgdorf, and that its surroundings formed a country with those 21 villages. "

- Hermann Adolf Lüntzel : The older diocese of Hildesheim. Hildesheim 1837, p. 302.

Uwe Ohainski and Jürgen Udolph found the place in a document around 1382 in its current spelling. Annette von Boetticher found Hülptingsen in the fiefdoms of the Lords of Bortfeld and von Hahnensee from 1476: Cord Beken was taxable in 1476, and in 1483 Hinreck Brandes and Hinreke Helpe.

Differences that arose between the city of Burgdorf and the rural communities reached a climax in an official advisory meeting on October 9, 1829. There it was decided that a hand pressure syringe should be set up for Otze, Ramlingen, Sorgensen, Weferlingsen, Hülptingsen, Dachtmissen and Obershagen in Otze. The radius was quite large and shows what minor role villages like Hülptingsen played in earlier times. The extinguisher was 6 km away.

On March 1, 1974, Hülptingsen was incorporated into the city of Burgdorf.

Today, Hülptingsen is home to an important industrial area within Burgdorf.

coat of arms

Coat of arms of Hülptingsen
Blazon : " Blue  : silver split , in front a silver watermill wheelat the gap, behind an upright blue wolf tang ."
Justification for the coat of arms: The silver mill wheel in blue symbolizes the “Walkenmühle” located in the village, which was built in 1686 as a water mill. The mill initially worked for cloth makers and for the wool and weavers' guild. The streets Wollenweberstraße and Tuchmacherweg were named after these guilds. After 1848 the mill was expanded into a grinding mill and from 1900 onwards it was equipped with a turbine. The upright blue wolf tang in silver emphasizes the affiliation to the former Burgdorf district .
