Fahai Si

The Fahai Si ( Fahai Temple ; Chinese  法 海 寺 , Pinyin Fǎhǎi Sì , Sanskrit धर्म समुद्र विहार Dharma Samudra Vihāra , literally: Temple of the Ocean of Teaching ) is a Buddhist temple in the Shijingshan district of Beijing . It dates from the Ming Dynasty and is famous for its Buddhist wall paintings .

The temple has been on the List of Monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-119) since 1988 .
