Historic racing driver community
The FHR driver group Historischer Rennsport Deutschland e. V. in ADAC , abbreviated to FHR , is a community of automobile racing athletes in races with historic vehicles . The association is based in Cologne .

The historic racing driver association (FHR) was founded in Haiger in 1983 as a driver representation that safeguards the interests of the teams and drivers vis-à-vis the motorsport authorities, racetracks, associations and organizers. Administratively, the FHR office has been part of the ADAC Nordrhein in Dürrholz since 2000 . In addition, through its board members, it is represented in important bodies of the German Motorsport Federation (DMSB) , the ADAC , associations and event organizers.
The majority of the active drivers who follow racing in historic automobiles are organized in the FHR. The club's motto is From drivers for drivers . The association (eV) has around 700 members (as of 2015), represented by a board with Alexander Kolb (1st speaker) and Michael Thier (2nd speaker).
The historic vehicles include GT and touring cars , prototypes and pre-war racers as well as formula cars .
The FHR also acts as the organizer and patron of several racing series that are carried out in accordance with Appendix K of the FIA's international motorsport regulations.

- FHR Historical Touring Car and GT Trophy (HTGT) is the oldest historical racing series in Germany.
