Alexander Kolb (entrepreneur)
Alexander Kolb (born March 4, 1961 in Aschaffenburg ) is a German bank manager and university professor .
Life
Alexander Kolb, son of a family of doctors from Aschaffenburg, studied business administration at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg . During his studies, he worked for two years at Fiat in Turin and at Fiat Bank in Heilbronn . In 1987 he became a trainee in corporate banking at Bayerische Vereinsbank . In 1990 he was at Wolfram Engels with the work sales financing in the automotive industry and in the retail sector in the Federal Republic of Germany at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main to Dr. rer. pole. PhD . After various positions in corporate customer business, he was released from work at Heidelberger Zement / Erlenbach GmbH & Co within the framework of the Tucherkreis for the next generation of managers at Bayerische Vereinsbank AG . There he was a member and spokesman for the management. After his return in 1993, he became head of the Frankfurt am Main branch of Bayerische Vereinsbank AG. Before he was appointed to the divisional board in 2003, Alexander Kolb took on various management tasks in corporate and private customer business. From 2004 to 2018 he was managing director of CPWJ Verwaltungs-GmbH.
He has been a member of the board of directors of Wilh since 2000 . Werhahn KG in Neuss. He has been a member of the supervisory board since 2006 and since 2014, when the company was converted, a member of the advisory board of the construction company OBG AG in Ottweiler. From 2008 to 2010 he was a member of the Advisory Board of Credit Suisse Deutschland AG . Since 2011 he has been chairman of the advisory board of the German asset management company of the investment bank Rothschild . From 2003 to 2019 he was chairman of the investment advisory board of the Bolle Fund and is a member of investment committees of various family industrial companies. Since 2005, Alexander Kolb has been a member of the board of trustees of the Pope Benedict XVI Birthplace Foundation. Since 2010 he has been a member of the advisory board of the KNA Promedia Foundation of the Catholic News Agency .
Since 1992 Kolb has been teaching at the Würzburg University of Applied Sciences . In 2006 he was appointed honorary professor for financial services at the Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences by the Bavarian state government . He teaches banking , financial services and lending .
Motorsport
Alexander Kolb has been active in classic car racing since 1979 and mainly drives classic cars, especially the Austin Healey 3000 MK II . He takes part in both the FHR Long Distance Cup and the Historic Touring Car and GT Trophy (HTGT) and the ADAC 24h Classic and AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix . Between 2005 and 2011 he was five times class winner in the 1961 GT class in the FHR Endurance Cup. In 2005, 2006 and 2007 he achieved his great success with the championship in class 61 of the FHR Paragon Cup.
