Bicycle academy
The Fahrradakademie is a training institute and aims to train those responsible in the municipalities in the field of cycling .
Since June 1, 2007, the bicycle academy has been operated by the German Institute for Urban Studies . The Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Development , the German District Association , the German Association of Towns and Municipalities and the German Association of Cities support the Academy.
The bicycle academy is aimed in particular at municipal employees who are entrusted with topics relating to bicycle traffic. This includes in particular the following areas of responsibility:
- Road planning , traffic development planning , civil engineering
- Road traffic law / road traffic authority
- Traffic safety
- Traffic control
- urban planning
- Combing
- Public transport authority
- School, kindergarten, youth and sport
- City marketing , tourist traffic planning
