Travel (length)

The trip was a German measure of length in Saxon mines, especially in the Ore Mountains . The measure is derived from the 12 cubits long ladders with 24 rungs. These were in the miners' language as a ride called. The measure was used as depth (depth) information. Half a journey was 6 cubits, or 12 rungs. It is used for planning crate and stiffening material and the expected amount of spoil.
