The Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (FIDASE) was an aerial survey in the British Antarctic Territory , the colonial area of ​​the Subantarctic and the Antarctic Peninsula claimed by Great Britain , which was carried out in the Antarctic summers 1955–56 and 1956–57.

The actual survey was financed by the Colonial Office and organized by Peter Mott by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. carried out. Deception Island served as the base . The Oluf Sven , two Catalina flying boats and several helicopters were used.

The collection of the recordings is held by the British Antarctic Survey as the United Kingdom Antarctic Mapping Center. It consists of around 12,800 images that were taken along a ground track of around 26,700 km.
