Folding sign

Common lettering of the fire department

A folding sign, also known as a warning pyramid , is a traffic sign that is not applied to a solid body (e.g. metal plate) as is usual in road traffic, but is printed on a tarpaulin on a metal frame.

The folding sign is usually illustrated with traffic signs in order to secure a traffic area or to indicate a danger.

commitment

A folded sign is around 70 cm long and a few centimeters in diameter. Because of this compact transport size and the very conspicuous size when setting up, this signal is well suited to be used in time-critical events. Thanks to the three legs, the sign can also stand stable on sloping or uneven surfaces.

Folding signs can also be found in conventional construction site areas.

Legal

The folded sign does not comply with the guidelines for securing workplaces on roads (RSA 95).
