Fandok Babruysk

Fandok Babrujsk ( Belarusian Фандок Бабруйск , Russian Фандок Бобруйск / Fandok Bobruisk ) is a former football club from the Belarusian city ​​of Babrujsk . He played from 1992 to 1995 in the Wyschejschaja Liha , the top division in the country and was in the 1994 final of the Belarusian Cup .

In the time of the Soviet Union until 1991 the association was called Traktor Babrujsk . After playing in the Belarusian league within the Soviet Union in 1991, he was one of the founding members of Vysheyschaya Liha after Belarus gained independence in 1992. There he stepped as Fandok Babrujsk and occupied places in the front midfield in the first three seasons. In the Belarusian Cup , Fandok reached the final in 1994, which was lost to champions Dinamo Minsk with 1: 3.

As a cup finalist, the club took part in qualifying for the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1994/95 . There they managed a 4-1 victory against KF Tirana in the first leg , but the team lost the second leg in Albania 3-0 and were eliminated due to the away goals rule .

The league season 1994/95 ended Fankok in 11th place and then renamed itself to FK Babrujsk . In the mid-season in autumn 1995, the team was knocked off bottom of the table with two points from 15 games. After missing relegation, the club stopped playing in 1996.
