After that the grip changes into a kind of ricasso . The wooden handle is often with nails and wire wrappings of brass decorated . The sword has a straight, double-edged blade . The blade has a mushroom-shaped ricasso shortly after the handle . The straight blade begins with pointed, hook-shaped forgings on each side of the blade, which point in the direction of the handle. The swords usually include wooden scabbards decorated with lizard skin or punched brass sheet. The typical shape of the sheath does not follow the shape of the blade, but ends in a widened manner.
