Fang Ridge (English for Reißzahngrat is) a striking ridge on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises on the northeast slope of Mount Erebus . It is the part of the original crater rim of Mount Erebus that has been blown up after a massive eruption .
The descriptive name goes back to the year 1912 and the Australian geologist Frank Debenham , participant of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) under the direction of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott .
