Farafina

Farafina is a music group from the West African state of Burkina Faso . It was founded in 1978 by Mahama Konaté in Bobo-Dioulasso . Their music is based on the musical traditions of the country, especially the balafon plays an important role. Farafina worked with the Rolling Stones , among others . After Konaté's withdrawal, the band initially disbanded, but was later revived.
