Fardo

Fardo was a measure of weight in Goa and was called the rice measure. It was a round package of 42 pounds (Portuguese) tied in straw and rope. It weighed 3 ½ maunds .

A fardo was also given as 32 pounds, but also as 80 pounds; it is unclear which pound is meant.
