Farhad Afshar
Farhad Afshar ( 1942 in Tehran ) is a Swiss sociologist of Iranian origin and President of the Coordination of Islamic Organizations Switzerland (KIOS).
; *At the Institute for Sociology at the University of Bern , he was Jean Ziegler's assistant . According to the NZZ am Sonntag , Afshar represents “a conservative Islam”, but often remains vague in the demands. He takes the position that for Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Jews etc. different partial legal systems should apply according to the religious writings. For Muslims, he therefore also advocates adopting Sharia law - "with certain adjustments to Switzerland".
