Farinelli ensemble

The Vienna Farinelli Ensemble was founded in 1992 by Hermann Voges and Noriko Nimmerrichter . The ensemble's repertoire encompasses more than a hundred pieces from early and late baroque to contemporary compositions . Some contemporary pieces are dedicated to the Farinelli ensemble. The ensemble is mainly active in Austria and Germany. The highlights were the appearance in front of around 4,000 listeners at the Theatron MusikSommer 2001 and participation in the St. Pölten Festival Weeks 2002.

The Munich-born countertenor Hermann Voges began studying the flute at the Richard Strauss Conservatory after graduating from high school. After successfully completing his studies, he moved to the Vienna Conservatory to expand his training to include vocal studies. He studied solo singing and song and oratorio and graduated with honors from both subjects. At the International Handel Academy in Karlsruhe, he completed masterclasses with Jochen Kowalski and Paul Esswood . Concert tours, radio and television recordings, including with the Viennese ensemble for early music Les Menestrels , have taken him to Sweden, Norway, Italy, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and the Slovak Republic. In Vienna he performed as a soloist at the Burgtheater. Hermann Voges was a founding member and singer of the Munich formation Engel against Will , with which he recorded four CDs. He lives in Munich and is also very valued as a teacher.

The harpsichordist Noriko Nimmerrichter was born in Kyoto, Japan. After graduating from high school in Kyoto, she continued her piano studies at the Vienna Conservatory. After graduating in piano, she began studying harpsichord with Marina Mauriello in 1987 and graduated with honors. Noriko Nimmerrichter likes to play chamber music a lot , but also appears frequently as a soloist. Among other things, she took part several times in the Vienna and Milan Domenico Scarlatti cycle, and in Omaggio al Clavicembalo for Serate Musicali in Milan. She also played the world premiere of Kyoko Abes Mikro II at the Wiener Musikverein. In the past few years they have given concert tours throughout Europe and to Japan. Radio recordings were also made for ORF , RAI , NHK-Osaka and Swedish radio.
