The Farka Lake ( Albanian Liqeni i Farkës ) is an artificial lake in the southeast of the Albanian capital Tirana . It stretches between the city and the eponymous villages of Farka e Madhe (large Farka) and Farka e Vogël (small Farka) in the former Komuna Farka . At around 75 hectares, the lake is larger than the artificial lake in the Great Park of Tirana and has a maximum length of two kilometers and a maximum width of 700 meters. The dam at the south end is around 300 meters long. A small stream is dammed, which later flows into the Farka stream , a tributary of the ore .

The Farka lake is used for irrigation for agriculture and cattle breeding as well as the drinking water supply for the local population. It holds around two million cubic meters of water, according to other sources, the reservoir is designed for 9.3 million cubic meters. In summer it is popular for various leisure activities. A park was created around the lake.

In March 2008, 16 people drowned in the lake when a small, overloaded boat capsized, which was supposed to take 20 passengers from one restaurant to the other bank.

After 2015, a park was set up around the lake. The facility is intended to serve as a recreational area for the residents of Tirana. A new bike and walking path leads around the lake. The park is 9.8 hectares.
