Fast Track Digital Copyright Network
FastTrack, The Digital Copyright Network , FastTrack for short , refers to the amalgamation of several international collecting societies , u. a. the GEMA of Germany, AKM from Austria, SUISA from Switzerland and BMI (USA).
The technology for database-supported management of copyrights is also carried under the same title, which was jointly developed for better international cooperation and, above all, is intended to facilitate license processing. For example, nowadays it is possible to look up musical works registered with collecting societies using search engines that are open to visitors . Ergo, for example, in GEMA's work research, you can research works by artists who are registered with other foreign collecting societies.
It is also possible to license the music online. Online registration of musical works is planned for authors.
