John Gadret (born April 22, 1979 in Épernay ) is a former French cyclist who was active in road cycling and in cyclo-cross races .

Career

John Gadret initially concentrated on the discipline of cyclocross . He celebrated his greatest success in 2004 when he won the cross race in Vossem . At the first race of the GvA Trofee on the Koppenbergcross , he was third in 2004 and 2005. At the World Cup races in Liévin and Hoogerheide , he finished third and second again at the end of the 2006 season.

From 2003 to 2015 Gadret rode with international road cycling teams and participated in "Grand Tours" . The 1.70 meter tall Gadret had a shape weight of 58 kilograms and was considered a strong climber. He achieved his best result at the Giro d'Italia 2011 , which he finished in third place. After he no longer received a contract from his last team Movistar , he ended his road career and said goodbye to active cycling with a third place at the 2016 French Cross Country Championships.
