Faster Pussycat is an American glam metal band from Los Angeles, California, founded in 1985 .
history
Faster Pussycat was founded by Taime Downe during the Glam Metal era in the 1980s. In addition to Downe, there were members Greg Steele and Brent Muscat. The name was derived from the Russ Meyer film Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! from. In 1993 the group broke up as Taime Downe turned to industrial rock and formed the band The Newlydeads . In 2001 the original members Taime Downe, Brent Muscat and Greg Steele, as well as the musicians of Newlydeads Xristian Simon, Danny Nordahl and Chad Stewart reunited to form the Pussycat formation.
