The Qafa e Morinës (in English Morina Pass ) is a mountain pass in northern Albania or western Kosovo . The state border between the two states runs at the top of the pass.

It is the lowest crossing point between the two countries apart from the breakthrough of the White Drin , which is now flooded in the Fierza reservoir. The Albanian Alps rise to the north of the pass and the mountainous region of Has to the south . The west side is on the Bistrica River, a tributary of the later in the Drin opens Valbona , the east side of the Labenica, a small tributary of the opening into the White Drin Erenik , drained.

The name comes from the place Morina on the eastern ascent to the pass.

A border crossing between the two states was opened on the pass on May 1, 2003 . A connecting road leads over the pass from Bajram Curr (Albania) to Gjakova (Kosovo), which is called SH 22 in Albania and M-9.1 in Kosovo . It is 25 kilometers from the pass to Bajram Curr and 22 kilometers to Gjakova. This street has been upgraded to a modern street.

The most important border crossing between Kosovo and Albania, further south between Kukës and Prizren  , is called Morina-Vërmica , named after another village called Morina .
