Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids comprises 110 episodes that aired onCBSfrom September9, 1972 to October 24, 1981,and via Syndication from September 1, 1984 to August 10, 1985. The German language first broadcast took place from November 13, 2001 to April 18, 2002 and on November 23, 2004 on theJuniorchannel. However, the 18th episode of the eighth season and the specials were not broadcast in Germany.

1 1 The baron of lies Lying Edward, a friend of the gang, shares how he fought alligators in Florida. Therefore the group goes to a nearby lake so that he can demonstrate his technique. However, there they will only find mud and no alligators. Edward then shares how to lie to parents to avoid punishment. The next day he says that he is a good swimmer. However, his cousin reveals that he cannot swim at all. His dizziness is revealed when he is supposed to dive in a pool. The gang forgives him, but threatens to beat him for the next lie. 2 2 Small but big The Runt Peewee is small and feels left out in many of the gang's activities, especially sports. The gang is later challenged in football. It turns out that Peewee is a good player, which is why he's allowed to play. With Kong, the opposing team has a player who is even bigger than Fat Albert. The ball is lost during the game and Peewee is the only one small enough to get at it. The teams make peace and admit that Peewee is a cool kid. September 16, 1972 November 23, 2001
3 3 Whirl around Betty The Stranger Dumb Donald's young cousin Betty comes to visit from the south, and the rest of the gang are not happy about her presence. She is accused of being responsible for detention and wreaking havoc. After beating Rudy at tennis, they become more likable. When the gang is in a bad mood again because they have to write a letter to King Arthur, Betty manages to get them to put themselves in different medieval roles, which is why they pass the upcoming test. The next day they invite Betty to take them to the junkyard. 23rd September 1972 November 26, 2001
4th 4th Our big rock stars Creativity Rudy shows off his new electric guitar and claims that it will make him famous. The rest of the gang, however, have no instruments and have to earn their money with jobs. The money comes together slowly and the instruments are very expensive. Rudy's dreams also burst when his guitar causes a power failure at his gig. That's why the gang builds their own instruments at the junkyard. September 30, 1972 November 27, 2001
5 5 Off to the holiday camp! Fish out of water The gang leaves their neighborhood to visit Camp Greenlane. At first they cannot get along with another group there. They play pranks on each other, but band together when the homesick Russell disappears. Together they save Russell from danger. The two groups become friends and look forward to seeing you again next year. The episode ends with a song about the fact that we are all human despite differences. October 7, 1972 November 28, 2001
6th 6th That knocks out the strongest bear Moving The gang is challenged by their rivals at Buck Buck. It's about who can lift the most weight. Fat Albert is underweight, which is why Rudy suggests providing him with her food. However, the strategy does not work because the rest are weakened by hunger. Fat Albert also suffers from eating and has to go home, which is why the gang is beaten for the first time. At first they want to exclude him, but ultimately decide against it. 7th 7th Don't feel like school Playing hooky Bored with everyday school life, Fat Albert and the gang decide to play hooky. Except for Dumb Donald, everyone skips school, but gets into trouble. At a train station they meet homeless people who used to play hooky themselves, which is why they were so unsuccessful in life. They advise the boys to go back to school. 8th 8th A bitter pill The Hospital Bill takes his frightened brother Russell to the school doctor for an exam. To show him that the investigation is harmless, Bill also has himself examined. They are then sent to the hospital for tonsillectomy . Fearing the intrusion, they distribute their property to the other gang members before they learn that it is a standard intrusion. Your parents promise you ice cream after the operation. During the subsequent hospital visit, the gang sneaks in to get something from the dessert. October 28, 1972 December 3, 2001
9 9 Schnorrer Begging Benny Fat Albert's cousin Benny visits but takes advantage of the gang. He is later treated the same way by a group of punks, which teaches him a lot about friendship. 4th November 1972 4th December 2001
10 10 Big mouth The Hero Scrap Iron Yates is a role model for the gang. It turns out that he looks down at her when he first invites her to the swimming pool, but denies this to the manager when he notices that they are too young. He later gets paid to let others ride his motorcycle. After being noticed by the police because of his driving style, he claims they stole the motorcycle. However, it turns out that he doesn't even have a driver's license, so Russell stops him and the gang realizes he's not a role model. November 11, 1972 November 14, 2001
11 11 Joker The prankster Otis is new to the area and after some good pranks, gets picked up by the gang. Fat Albert doesn't find the pranks funny and therefore quits. Otis later gets the gang into trouble with another gang by a prank. There are more pranks on Otis' preparations for the upcoming fight. Fat Albert saves Otis by showing the other gang that his pranks are on himself. November 18, 1972 November 15, 2001
12 12 Spectacled snake Four eyes The gang thinks Heywood is the dumbest person because he has problems playing sports. He has difficulty reading at school. His teacher and the principal send him for an eye test. Heywood learns that he needs glasses and is afraid that they will look ridiculous. However, he can impress the gang with his better skills. 13 13 Battle of the sexes The tomboy While the gang takes an interest in cake, Fat Albert notices that Penny, the new girl in class, is interested in sports. Despite impressing at football, basketball, weight lifting, pole vault, and arm wrestling, she struggles to be accepted. Penny challenges Fat Albert to bench press, which he wins against all odds. However, after Penny helps out with a tennis game, they get along well. 2nd December 1972 November 19, 2001
14th 14th Stage Fright Stagefright The gang is interested in acting and enters a competition to win money. After they were successful in the junkyard with Wilhelm Tell , they decide to perform Moby Dick at the theater . The director tries to organize the group. On the day Rudy performs the solo part of King Arthur , the others show Moby Dick , struggling with problems such as stage fright. The participation was worth it, however, as Rudy wins the main prize, free ballet lessons. December 9, 1972 November 20, 2001

16 2 The wise guy Smart kid Thurman is so good at school that he usually leaves the books there. Fat Albert and the gang, however, usually have to detain to make up for their bad grades. As a distraction they do sports, in which Thurman is less talented. The gang learns that Thurman has another set of books at home and studies almost every evening and therefore has little time for sports. So they make an agreement that Thurman teaches the gang and they help him in the sport in return. 15th September 1973 November 22, 2001
17th 3 Dirty coal Mr. Big Timer Franny Bates receives money from his brother Muggles and a few things, like a motorcycle that Fat Albert breaks down. He goes to Muggles to work off the damage. Albert gives Albert a package that he should deliver. When he is arrested by the police, he learns that it is a narcotic drug and agrees to help arrest Muggles and stop his drug deals. While Franny Fat no longer considers Albert a friend, the rest of the gang stand by him as he did the right thing. 22nd September 1973 December 5, 2001
18th 4th Brother or sister? The newcomer Dumb Donald gets the shock of his life when his parents tell him they are going to have another baby, which he doesn't like. The gang tries to cheer him up with a visit to the zoo. There he sees that the animals have children too, which is why the gang wonders where the babies are from. When Donald's sister is finally born, his fears are a thing of the past and he takes them to his heart, even if he doesn't admit it to the gang. 29th September 1973 December 6, 2001
19th 5 My dad is world class! What does dad do? For school, the boys write about their fathers' job. Your teacher quickly notices that the stories are exaggerated. She makes an agreement with them that everyone should accompany their father to work to get a better impression of the work. This helps them pass their tests and they value their fathers' work. 20th 6th Torn heart Mom or pop The gang is interested in what their new classmate Flora has in her little bag. They find out that it is a toy doll that she received from her father, who recently divorced her mother. Her parents argue over Flora while the gang cheers them up at the junkyard. On her birthday, her parents notice that she has run away and put their differences aside to find them together. Fat Albert and the gang help out and discover that she has returned to the junkyard. Her parents agree that Flora will continue to play an important role in her life even if they no longer live together. October 13, 1973 December 10, 2001
21st 7th Cowboy and Indian How the West Was Lost Johnny is new to school and is a Native American native of Arizona. The children believe that since Johnny is an Indian, he can make rain and can do other tricks they know from movies. However, Johnny shows them that he is not your typical Native American. Mudfoot tells a hair-raising story of how he met an Indian. So the boys visit the library to learn more about the indigenous people and their culture. When they meet Johnny again, they treat him with more respect. 20th October 1973 December 11, 2001
22nd 8th The meaning of the warning signs Sign off Cool Roy thinks it's great to swap traffic signs and spray buildings with graffiti. Fat Albert confronts him that this can be dangerous. Roy promises to stop but breaks his promise the next day when the gang plays football. When the ball is lost, Fat Albert rescues Peewee in time from a building that is about to be blown up, but on which the warning signs have been removed. Roy is caught with the evidence and, as a punishment, has to remove all the graffiti he's done, which is a lesson to him. October 27, 1973 December 12, 2001

23 1 Trouble with Parker The fuzz Parker does not respect any authority. He destroys a police cordon and triggers a false alarm from the fire department. He also convinces the gang to sneak past a security guard into an amusement park, where they end up in danger on a roller coaster that is about to collapse. Parker and Fat Albert have to convince the authorities to go on a rescue mission. The gang then learns a lesson about police authority. 6th September 1975 December 13, 2001
24 2 Alcohol brings nothing! To Ounce of Prevention Sometimes Lucius is happy and fun-loving, but sometimes dejected and forgetful. Fat Albert finds out he drinks alcohol. Together with his parents, Albert meets Lucius friends who are already informed about his alcohol consumption. Together they want to get him to stop drinking alcohol. A few days later, Lucius Fat Albert reports that he has thrown away his alcohol and thanks him and his parents for the help. September 13, 1975 December 14, 2001
25th 3 Fat Albert on cloud nine Fat Albert meets Dan Cupid Fat Albert falls in love with his classmate Laverne, but is disturbed by his friends, who always accompany him when he wants to be alone with her. They watch films together and Albert would like to spend more time with Laverne, who, however, only wants to be friends with Albert. The gang mourns with him after visiting him after a few days. However, he is quickly satisfied again when he befriends another girl. 20th September 1975 December 17, 2001
26th 4th Small and big rip-offs Take 2, They're Small Fat Albert's cousin Justin comes to visit and shoplifts. He is influenced by Harlow, who tries to get the gang to ask some things for him. They refuse and go in search of Harlow after he tries to get Justin to steal again. Harlow escapes, but loses much of the stolen goods brought by the gang to police who arrest Harlow after they find more stolen items in his apartment. In court, Harlow is given a suspended prison sentence. September 27, 1975 December 18, 2001
27 5 Animal love Animal lover Dulcie lets her dog Sanford out without a leash or collar, which worries Fat Albert and the gang. Later, Sanford is caught and taken to the dog kennel. Dulcie picks him up again, but is bitten by another dog in town. The gang go out to find the dog to see if he's sick. 4th October 1975 December 19, 2001
28 6th Handicap Little tough guy Dwayne is new to school and has a leg disability. Fat Albert and the others try to treat him equally while exercising. This fails and Dwayne loses his confidence. However, when they invite him to an important football game, Dwayne finds his way back to his old form and helps the team to victory. October 11, 1975 December 20, 2001

31 3 The new teacher Readin ', Ritin', and Rudy Ms. Johnson is the new teacher in the class. She expects the same respect as her predecessor. Over time, they all accept except for Rudy, who constantly disrupts the class and is therefore sent to the Vice Rector. He decides to leave school but meets Mudfoot in the park, who tells him that leaving school didn't get him very far. Rudy decides to go back to school and apologizes to Ms. Johnson. 32 4th Here's a muffled! Suede Simpson Suede Simpson looks good but smells bad. The gang has a hard time telling him to be more careful about his personal hygiene. After showing up at a party uninvited and being repulsive to the girls, Fat Albert and Russell teach him a lesson. 34 6th Monroe looks into the tube TV or Not TV Monroe spends all of his free time in front of the television, which is why he hardly sleeps any more and is bad at school. Meanwhile, the gang performs Robin Hood at school to win tickets to a concert. Monroe, who plays the lead role, is late due to his TV addiction. Despite Fat Albert's efforts, he doesn't make it on stage in time and another class wins. However, since they still manage to perform, they are still allowed to attend the concert. Since Monroe was late, he cannot come, but can watch the concert on television. However, he regrets not being seen on television like Fat Albert and the gang he sees in the audience. 35 7th Mourning for the uncle Shuttered Window As the school's sports budget is cut, Unden’s Uncle Monty puts on a talent show to raise funds. He dies before the show, which is why Undeen and the gang are sad. With the support of her mother and Fat Albert, Undeen manages to carry on and she realizes that Monty should be fondly remembered, which is why the talent show continues. 36 8th Only sweets Junk food Fat Albert and Slim Noodleton eat too much unhealthy food. When Slim has a toothache, they go to the dentist to fill holes. He recommends a diet, but only Albert adheres to it, who thereby achieves a new energy level. However, Slim continues to eat unhealthy foods and get stomach pain. 43 7th Some risks are not worth it Free ride Fat Albert and the gang notice that their skateboard friend Lawanda hitchhikes regularly. 47 3 The adopted sister The Secret Beau and Francie are siblings. However, Beau lets Francie know that she has been adopted. Her parents then admit they adopted her as a baby. 48 4th Easy loot Easy Pickin's The gang is impressed by the items that Steve and Claudia have, which give the impression of being rich. Fat Albert finds out that they are shoplifters who sell stolen goods to other children. Fat Albert informs her parents that they find stolen items in her room. The twins assumed they would never be caught. However, after another boy is accused of being the thief and is arrested, they feel guilty and admit that they are the thieves. 49 5 Joyride with consequences Good ol 'dudes Richard "borrows" his uncle's car and drives the gang through town. He also takes his neighbors' car to drive the gang around. However, you are in danger when the car lands in a lake. 50 6th Heads or tails Heads or tails Harold turns into a gamer and tries to convince the gang to bet on horse races. When they refuse, Harold becomes an errand boy for Sheldon, who promises to pay him. He then manages to convince the gang to join in. Only Fat Albert refuses and wants to bring the gang to their senses. When the gang loses the bet, Harold must face the consequences, as does Sheldon, who has already been imprisoned. 51 7th Stay away from drugs! Pot of gold Patty was a high school student until she started using drugs and is now using marijuana regularly. When the gang meets their drug dealer, Rudy is tempted to take drugs himself, but reconsiders when he sees Patty in danger. He and Fat Albert can save her. They meet up with her parents and a police officer, and Patty agrees to help arrest her drug dealer, the first step in her return to normal. October 18, 1980 January 28, 2002
52 8th A gun is not a toy The Gunslinger Shawn thinks he's cool when he carries his dad's gun. Except for Fat Albert, everyone is impressed, but he goes to his parents' house to stop Shawn from carrying the gun. Even though the gun is not loaded, Rudy finds a cartridge that Shawn can use for target practice. Tragedy almost ensues when the gun backfires and seriously injures his hand. 53 1 Homeland Mexico Habla Espanol Rosita is a shy Mexican American. Rudy insults her because her English is not that good, whereupon she misses school for the next few days. When Fat Albert steps in, a Hispano's kitchen catches fire. Because of their good communication, they can put out the fire without much damage. Back at school, Miss Wucher organized a project to show the children that they can be proud of their origins. Rosita is surprised that the gang know a lot of famous Mexican people and returns to school. 5th September 1981 January 30, 2002
54 2 - 2 by 2 Arden and Baron are in love with each other and want to leave school to get married as soon as possible. At first, she doesn't care what others think, but Arden realizes she couldn't go to high school. Fat Albert introduces Baron to Mudfoot, who introduces him to Ellen, a woman who is only a little older than Baron. She and her husband, Joey, got married when they were old, but struggled to find jobs, pay their bills, and couldn't afford a car or phone. For these reasons, Arden and Baron reconsider their decision and postpone their plans into the future. September 12, 1981 February 1, 2002
55 3 Dogs cannot be parked Parking dog Fat Albert has doubts that Cosgrove and Doreen will be able to care for a puppy. Cosgrove and Doreen leave their puppy Freddie at home alone, where he escapes out the window and runs onto a street with lots of traffic. Fat Albert calls the police who will save him. 56 4th Water has no bars Water You Waiting For? The gang goes camping at Cedar Lake, where they meet new people. Fat Albert is interested in the pretty Janine, whom he shares in his knowledge of water safety. He finds out that she works as a lifeguard at the camp and therefore knows more about the subject than he does. She makes him an assistant lifeguard. Their teamwork comes in handy when Rudy's prank on Russell backfires, putting both of them in danger. The gang learns from the close rescue what safety means in the water. 57 5 The new father The New Father After her father dies, Buffy's mother meets Mr. Haney and includes him in her life, which Buffy displeases. Their negative attitude intensifies when they announce that they want to get married. Buffy runs away and hides in an enclosed amusement park. She is in danger but is saved by Mr. Haney. 58 6th All people are equal Double cross Melinda says she's interested in a group called Double Cross. However, this is not interested in Fat Albert and the gang because they belong to a different ethnic group. Mudfoot introduces Fat Albert to a rabbi who talks about how the Nazis invaded his homeland. Fat later confronts Albert George, the leader of Double Cross, for his racism. Later that night, George plans to vandalize a Jewish synagogue, but puts himself in danger. Fat Albert and the police are able to rescue him and arrest George for his vandalism. 59 7th The runaway Little Girl Found Greta is a runaway teenage girl who steals and sells the gang's television. Fat Albert wants to help Greta and Mudfoot tells her the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel in the hope that she will return to her family. Greta eventually runs into a gang who steals bicycles. Fat Albert comes to her aid and Harold calls the police in time. Then Greta calls her mother and takes the first steps to return home. 17th October 1981 February 6, 2002
60 8th When parents drink too much Whatch That First Step Fat Albert and the gang meet Marcus Detrick, a good athlete who is new to the area. They invite him to the upcoming father-son baseball game, but he declines because his father is out of town. However, when he shows up anyway, it is revealed that he is drunk and an alcoholic. Marcus and his sister Michelle ran away from home to avoid the problems. After they are in danger, Fat Albert convinces them to go to the Alcoholics Anonymous.
