Fatemeh Karroubi
Fatemeh Karroubi (* 1949 in Lorestan ) is an Iranian politician and the wife of the Shiite cleric and Iranian opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi .
Fatemeh Karroubi was Deputy Minister for Social Affairs under President Chātami . She took part in her husband's campaign in the 2009 presidential election . According to media reports, Fatemeh Karroubi has been imprisoned with her husband for political reasons since February 24, 2011, or under house arrest.
