2018 Pacific Asian Fistball Championship

The 2nd Men's Fistball Pacific Asian Championship took place on November 21 and 24, 2018 in the Australian metropolis of Melbourne .

Australia hosted a Fistball Pacific Asia Championship for the first time . The event was organized by the Fistball Federation of Australia (FiFA) with the support of the International Fistball Association (IFA) and the Asia-Pacific Fistball Association (APFA).

The title holder at the first staging in 2014 in Lahore ( Pakistan ) and thus the defending champion was the national fistball team of Pakistan . But she did not compete in Australia. The national team from New Zealand secured the title, taking part for the first time and defeating hosts Australia 4-3 in the final.

Four nations took part in the title fights in Australia. Australia and India took part in the first edition in 2014 in Pakistan. It was the first time New Zealand and Samoa had participated in the Pacific Asian Championships.

The championships were initially held in a preliminary round with the four participating nations. The group winners then played their semi-finals against the group fourth, the group runner-up met the third of the preliminary group.
