Favez is a rock band from Lausanne, Switzerland . The band is much better known abroad than in their home country.
On their first three albums the band was still called Favez Disciples, later they shortened the name. In interviews, the band always named a character from the film Le Mans with Steve McQueen as the reason for the name, but in a personal conversation singer Chris Wicky referred to the book Le Vampire de Ropraz by the writer (and former French teacher of Guy and Chris) Jacques Chessex as the actual source of inspiration for choosing a name.
